There’s a test in my African American history class tomorrow. I’d say I was successful at finding the most stylish study buddy in the class.

Roy Bianco, in his apartment on the night of his going away party.

This is Roy Bianco. Dutch Italian, spent the past three months exploring San Francisco. He has a twin who exists on another continent. Practices yoga regularly and has a bit of training in ballet. This is from the afternoon last week when he let me take his photograph. It was warm out and I took him to the rooftop on my block that I trespass at frequently. Afterward, we went to the park. He sat thoughtfully for a moment, then said to me in his European accent that he may have been too serious during our photo session.

I’ll be attending his going away party tonight. That’s the thing about San Francisco, you’ll meet some beautiful characters from far away places. Inevitably, they’ll float onto other things.
